Emma describes her work as a “blend of whimsy and metaphor, expressive with an abundance of details and textures. I like to capture the essence of emotions and imagination on canvases. I utilize both traditional and digital tools to unveil unique perspectives on the ordinary. My art is about exploring the boundless possibilities of imagination and the ability of art to transform the mundane into captivating visual narratives.”

Emma Shen is a Chinese visual artist currently resident in Edinburgh, Scotland. Emma has collaborated with Disney, BBDO, FCB, Ogilvy and her illustrations, installations and paintings are exhibited internationally.
A highlight was: A HTML5 platform mini game for Coach’s City-Sole launch campaign. Emma illustrated an interactive map, posters and scenes of the imagined City-Sole town and designed the mini app.
Emma has worked in the creative industry for over 9 years since she graduated from State University of New York. She is currently working on a graduate certificate in Visual Arts at Harvard University.
