In the Mirror

Acrylic on Canvas, 20” x 30”, 2024

Inspired by the complex emotions of self-hatred and introspection, this illustration delves into the internal struggle of confronting one's own reflection. Inspired by the moments when we confront our own reflections with a mix of trepidation and courage, I aim to capture the raw emotions that come with self-examination. The fractured reflection serves as a metaphor for the fragmented sense of self, while subtle details convey the raw emotions hidden beneath the surface. As viewers engage with the artwork, I hope to provoke contemplation on the universal themes of self-perception and acceptance in the journey towards self-love and healing.
